Member comments:

"If the head of WSP lies on the coast, the heart is out here amongst the mountains. It beats in rhythm with the flow of the mighty Klamath.
Jon Grunbaum is always available to answer any questions or provide advice... He has high expectations, as we have many important duties to accomplish, but he is also aware that we are skilled and sensible enough to thoroughly complete any task.
Happy Camp is for the self-sufficient, outdoorsy, adventurer type. There is no shortage of field work to be done during the season.
Happy Camp - if the name doesn't speak strongly enough for itself, the clean water, clear skies, and bright sun will. You want to be here, and won't wish to leave."
- Jacob Pounds, year 13 member

Mentor comments:

"I have been a WSP mentor for six years. I enjoy mentoring because of the energy, enthusiasm, ideas, and idealism that the mentees bring to the Happy Camp site; and because I get to share these incredibly beautiful remote mountains and river systems with people who really appreciate these natural surroundings and finding out what is going on to protect and restore them."
- Jon Grunbaum, year 8-14 mentor
