National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS)
provides support for domestic and international fisheries management
operations, fisheries development, enforcement, protected
species and habitat conservation operations, and the scientific
and technical aspects of NOAA's marine fisheries program.
Northwest Fisheries
Science Center - The NWFSC is a research facility of the
Northwest Region of the National Marine Fisheries Service and
provides scientific and technical support for the management
of the Pacific Northwest region's anadromous and marine fishery
resources.
PSMFC - The Pacific States Marine Fisheries
Council is one of three interstate commissions dedicated to resolving
fishery issues. Representing California, Oregon, Washington,
Idaho, and Alaska, the PSMFC does not have regulatory or management
authority; rather it serves as a forum for discussion, works
for coastwide consensus to state and federal authorities.

Interior, Endangered Species Program - Protecting endangered
and threatened species and restoring them to a secure status
in the wild is the primary objective of the endangered species
program of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, an agency of the
Department of the Interior.

Fish and Wildlife Service - The mission of the U.S. Fish
and Wildlife Service is to conserve, protect, and enhance fish
and wildlife and their habitats for the continuing benefit of
the American people.
CA Dept of Fish and Game

The California Conservation Corps, or
CCC, is an innovative state agency with a dual mission -- the
employment and development of youth, and the protection and enhancement
of the state's natural resources.
California Resources Agency
- The Resources Agency of California is responsible for the conservation,
enhancement, and management of California's natural and cultural
resources, including land, water, wildlife, parks, minerals,
and historic sites.
CERES - The California Environmental
Resources Evaluation System (CERES) is an information system
developed by the California Resources Agency to facilitate access
to a variety of electronic data describing California's rich
and diverse environments.
California Rivers Assesment - The California
Rivers Assessment (CARA) is a data management system designed
to give rapid access to essential information and tools with
which to make sound decisions about the conservation and use
of California's rivers. This is a great tool for learning about
your watershed.
Natural Heritage Division - The mission
of the Natural Heritage Division (NHD) is to identify and conserve
California's sensitive plants, animals, and natural communities
for their intrinsic worth and their value to present and future
generations.
California
Coastal Comission - The Coastal Commission was established
by voter initiative in 1972 (Proposition 20) and made permanent
by the Legislature in 1976. The mission of the Commission is
to plan for and regulate development in the coastal zone consistent
with the policies of the California Coastal Act.
Interagency Ecological
Program - The Interagency Ecological Program for the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Estuary
consists of ten member agencies: three State, six Federal, and
one non-government. These partners work together to develop a
better understanding of the estuary's ecology and the effects
of the State Water Project (SWP) and Federal Central Valley Project
(CVP) operations on the physical, chemical, and biological conditions
of the San Francisco Bay-Delta estuary.
