Eel River Watershed Improvement Group (ERWIG) - The mission of the Eel River Watershed Improvement Group (ERWIG) is to improve stream habitat conditions in the Eel River basin to benefit native stocks of salmon and steelhead.
Humboldt Fish Action Council (HFAC) - Located within the Freshwater Creek watershed (tributary to Humboldt Bay).
Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA) - Community Action Agency founded over 35 years ago in Eureka, CA to address community needs throughout the Humboldt area. Divisions include various youth and family services, natural resources services, AmeriCorps programs, and others.
Mattole Restoration Council (MRC) - The objectives and purpose of the Mattole Restoration Council are the restoration of natural systems in the Mattole River watershed and their maintenance at sustainable levels of health and productivity, especially in regards to forests, fisheries, soils, and other native plant and animal communities.
Mattole Salmon Group (MSG) - The Mattole Salmon Group was founded in 1980 by concerned community members who recognized that the native salmon population was dwindling rapidly. Since the Mattole Salmon Group was founded, it has evolved to include extensive habitat and species monitoring programs, large bank stabilization and habitat enhancement projects throughout the Mattole watershed, community outreach events and participation in environmental education projects, and a wide range of additional projects benefiting the watershed in cooperation with other local groups. Throughout this evolution, the Mattole Salmon Group has maintained its backbone of grassroots community support.
Salmon River Restoration Council (SRRC) - The Salmon River Restoration Council is a growing community based non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Since 1992 our mission has been to assess, protect, restore and maintain the Salmon River ecosystems with the active participation of the local community, focusing on restoration of the anadromous fisheries resources and the development of a sustainable economy. We provide assistance and education to the general public and cooperating agencies by facilitating communication and cooperation between the local communities, managing agencies, Native American Tribes and other stakeholders.
Mid Klamath Watershed Council (MKWC) - The Mid Klamath Watershed Council (MKWC) has been actively planning, coordinating and implementing restoration projects in the Mid Klamath subbasin since May 2001. Focusing on projects that directly benefit our anadromous fisheries resource, we utilize grant funding combined with community and stakeholder volunteers to implement practical, hands-on restoration projects while educating participants on restoration techniques and stewardship principles.
