WSP Volunteerism

Each AmeriCorps Watershed Stewards Project member is responsible for coordinating a volunteer project during their term of service. These Individual Service Projects (ISPs) help members engage their communities in restoration efforts in their watershed. They also give members a unique experience in coordinating a volunteer work day. Each member must recruit at least 13 community volunteers, work with local landowners and agencies to implement their project, and contact local businesses to obtain tools, food and other donations. ISPs can range from tree plantings, creek cleanups and restoration work days to instream structure installations.

Restoring habitat is an essential part of repairing and sustaining our watersheds for salmonid and human use alike. For more information about restoration initiatives and why we conduct projects like these, please contact us!

In addition to member ISPs, we sometimes post other community events on this page. However, in an effort to increase visability for member ISPs and encourage support, ISPs will be focused upon first.
